Yesterday I spent a few minutes talking to some of the people who perform the same job I do, employees on both day and night shifts. All of the people I talked to, with no exceptions, tell me that there is no way they could meet the "unnofficial goal" set by the new 2nd in command of the building. We're all confused as to how she expects us to do it. Some of these people were managers and leads, who have been doing this forever. A few of them were amazed when I told them how much I do now.
Nevertheless, tonight they are having one of the managers come and "retrain" me. I have a feeling what this will come down to is finding out that this new "unnofficial goal" is unrealistic.
I also now have to give a count of my total documents processed at the end of the night to three different people. Keep in mind that I actually process more than several people on the day shift, at least the ones I talked to yesterday.
